How we research

Clear answers. Carefully researched. When we're uncertain, we'll say so.

Our method

Every food record is written by cross-referencing reputable veterinary and animal-health sources — including veterinary manuals, animal poison control resources and established veterinary organisations. Where those sources disagree, or where the evidence is thin, we say so in the record rather than picking a confident-sounding answer.

We do not generate answers automatically. If a food is not in the database, the site tells you it hasn't been researched yet.

Our limits

This information is for general educational purposes only. This site is not operated by veterinarians. Always consult your veterinarian for advice specific to your dog.

Individual dogs differ in size, age, health conditions and sensitivities. Nothing here replaces a conversation with your own veterinarian, and in an emergency you should contact a veterinarian or pet poison service immediately.
